Arizona Lottery

OH Partners contacted me with this fun broadcast spot advertising the Arizona Lottery's Quick Draw games. The ask? Breath life into their script, shoot on location in Phoenix, and use local talent. Done, done, and done. I pitched a treatment that revolved around reaction shots and highlighted OH's idea of a blue light signaling winners. Our core team was LA based, with everyone else being local to the greater Phoenix area. We had one jam packed day of shooting at 3 separate locations, only made possible by thoughtful planning and an experienced crew. We shot mostly during the day, employing indoor locations we treated for night and some green screen VFX shots to simulate night outside. After every take, our systems uploaded a transcoded proxy viewable by agency and client. This allows anyone with permission to access clips whenever they want without the need to hog playback from VTR. Perfect for agency, client, and crew alike. Another benefit of these instant dailies is having a working cut on set for review by the director, agency, and client. Maybe it's our need for instant gratification, but everyone loves seeing how their work fits into the edit while still on set. By the end of the day, we had a rough cut and the knowledge that everything went as planned. We all slept like babies after wrap.
